Learn the basics of knitting using sustainable materials such as wooden needles and yarn made from recycled T-shirts. During this session, you'll create a knitted trivet by learning to cast on and off, and basic stitches like knit and purl. Additionally, you'll learn to make your own yarn from T-shirts. Each participant will be given a set of size 15 wooden needles to take home.

Create as many earrings, pendants, or other jewelry as you like from a huge assortment of discarded upholstery samples and beautiful second-hand fabric including velvet, linen, and both faux and genuine leather. Use one of the dozens of templates provided or create your own design. Embellish your creation with a huge selection of second-hand beads and jewelry pieces. Great for kids 8+.

Make Shrinky Dinks in 3 ways using recycled plastic!  You will learn the basics to create shrinky dinks using alcohol ink, Sharpie and colored pencil. You will have the option to create a keychain, pair of earrings, necklace charm, pin, magnet or zipper pull.  No drawing talent required! Use some of the basic shapes and templates provided or you can draw whatever you like. The only limit is your imagination! The best part is that you get to watch your creation shrink right in front of your eyes.  Great for kids 4+.

Learn the basics of needle felting by decorating your own wool dryer balls. Two dryer balls are included in the class price, and additional balls can be purchased for $5 each. After this 2-hour party, you will have 2 embellished dryer balls to take home that are good for over 1000 dryer cycles. Recommended for ages 10+.

Whip up a dazzling nightlight with colorful stained glass plastic scraps for a whimsical touch to any corner. Choose from a variety of wood shapes. You will glue and grout your nightlight and then add your choice of warm or white fairy lights that shine bright for 50,000 hours before needing a battery change. No glass cutting required.

Recommended for ages 6+.

Create your own tiny oasis using a variety of plants, decorative rocks and other eco-friendly embellishments.  

You will choose your vessel from an array of second-hand finds to plant add up to 3 succulents.  You will even be provided home-made compost to add nutrients to the soil.

Second-hand figures or Shrinky Dink add-ons are available at an additional cost to fit any theme from Fairy garden to dinosaurs to Taylor Swift.
